Tyler Hammond / Vineyard Manager

Sonoma County native Tyler Hammond’s roots extend four generations in Santa Rosa. He grew up with today’s business leaders. As a teenager, his first jobs were tied to the local wine industry and agriculture.

Tyler attended local schools and Santa Rosa Junior College, then headed to California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Viticulture and a minor in Plant Protection Science while gaining practical experience at Saucelito Canyon Vineyard in Arroyo Grande Valley. Tyler returned to Sonoma County to work for Kunde Family Estate in Sonoma Valley — in the winery cellar and then as Viticulturist. “Working from vine to bottle allowed me to have a hand in all sectors of the industry,’ he says.

Tyler joined Bevill Vineyard Management in time for the 2013 harvest. “The company respects hard work, integrity and sustainability, values I share. BVM is a leader in land stewardship.” as Assistant Vineyard Manager and Viticulturist, Tyler worked with Joe Tollini on properties located in Russian River Valley.

In January 2015, Tyler was promoted to Vineyard Manager, Supervising all vineyard operations in the Russian River AVA.

Throughout the year and especially when harvest season winds down, Tyler hits the trails on his mountain bike. An avid fly fisherman, Tyler’s knowledge of entomology comes in handy on the creeks and streams.
