Lupita Flores Medina
Administrative DirectorLupita joined BVM in 2018 as a harvest temporary office worker; within a month Duff offered her a full-time position. Today she is the “hub of the BVM wheel” supervising the accounting department, and all administrative tasks. Accounting, financial planning and analysis are Lupita’s favorite assignments.
“My biggest role is securing 80% of our labor force by completing all the paperwork and compliance pre-requisites related to the H-2A visas,” she says. The scarcity of domestic labor brought about the federal H2A guest-worker visa program. Lupita handles all government compliance, arranges housing for the H-2A employees and working with Rey Sanchez helps to ensure safety and performance recognition for all employees.
A Sonoma County native raised by immigrant parents, Lupita shares BVM’s values of inclusivity, community engagement and family. She notes that Duff freely shares information and welcomes input. “Everyone’s ideas are valuable, and they are heard,” she says. “We evolve with the times and change for the better.”
